Envirolink is the business support organisation for the low carbon and environmental goods and services sector. As a not-for-profit company, our aim is to support the growth of the low carbon and environmental goods and services sector thereby contributing to sustainable economic growth and environmental protection which is vital for the UK’s transition to a low carbon economy.
Through collaboration with suppliers, end-users, research institutes and funders we facilitate the development and uptake of innovative low carbon and environmental technologies. We do this by helping businesses to develop and market low carbon and environmental products and services whilst also promoting them to end-users and acting as a link between suppliers and buyers.
Our services
With over 10 years’ experience of providing support to organisations in the low carbon and environmental goods and services sector, Envirolink has unparalleled knowledge of low carbon and environmental technologies, the companies involved in the sector and their customers.
Using this experience and knowledge we provide development support to suppliers of low carbon and environmental goods and services with research and commercial advice on technology development; assistance with business planning and funding; planning and licensing advice; and marketing and PR support.
We promote low carbon and environmental technologies, goods and services and their related benefits to end-users and provide advice on technology and product options, finance and funding availability, planning and supplier information.
We undertake sector research for central and local government and work with them on the implementation of specific sector focussed economic development programmes.
We also work with education and skills providers, such as Sector Skills Councils (SSC), national skill academies, colleges and universities, to ensure the sector’s current and future workforce needs are addressed. We also work with schools in promoting science, technology, engineering or maths subjects to encourage students to choose these subjects to enable them to access the low carbon and environmental sector job market. We continue to lobby government to invest in low carbon and environmental research and science, technology, engineering and maths education at further and higher levels.
Further information
Established in 2000, Envirolink is an independent, not-for-profit, private sector company (Limited by Guarantee) that does not have shareholders and does not distribute profits; instead we reinvest surplus income into meeting our objectives.
